Dined in with my sister--it's so hard to find biang biang noodles in SF for some reason, even though it's very popular in NYC; this was the only restaurant in SF that I think offers it, so we made the trek out on a gloomy early evening after Stern Grove to try it out! Even though we arrived ~15 min before opening, the waitress let us in and out of the cold to be seated while waiting inside. We were immediately served hot tea, which was so greatly appreciated! First thing we noticed was that the tables were sticky / had a sticky residue; not sure if it was from the cleaning product that they used, but it was a bit off-putting. We ordered the 3 in one to share, but found the serving size to be rather lacking, and also wished there was more flavor/umami. We saw a table next to us order the lamb cumin noodle, so we followed up our order with that one as well, but was also hoping this one was more flavorful. Noodle texture was perfect though! So fun and bouncy.

This review is for takeout only. From what I could tell, the inside of the restaurant looked spacious and would be comfortable to dine in. Order was ready earlier than expected and pickup was very easy. I appreciated that my cumin lamb and pork burgers were wrapped in foil to keep them nice and warm for the drive back home. All of the food we got were very flavorful with filling portions. The chili wontons could maybe have a bit more filling and the skin kind of stuck together, but it still tasted good. My favorite were the cumin lamb burger and sesame paste cold noodle. Shared the meal with my Chinese parents, and they said they'd go dine in sometime!

Second time here, ordered the lamb soup with pita and cumin lamb biang biang noodles. I liked the soup, though like last time it's a bit weird that the pita was diced, in China you would always rip pieces off yourself. The noodles were good but not spicy enough for my taste and way too oily. Large quantities. I do think this is the best Shaanxi restaurant in SF. But there's room for improvement. Waiters were friendly but took long to respond, so we had to wait a bit to order and get the bill. Decorations are nice, definitely a Shaanxi vibe. And don't think this was the case last time, for some reason our table was very sticky. The entire table was uniformly sticky so I don't think it was dirty, might be a cleaning product they use. But still.

These windy SF cold days need Shaanxi food to warm us up, so we headed to Terracotta Warrior. Once inside, we sat at a large table with a long bench surrounded by Chinese art. Shaanxi is in northwest China and their food consists of yummy 'Chinese hamburgers,' lamb noodle soup, spicy beef, and cool pickled cucumber. The food here is authentic with decent portions! Prices here are very reasonable, with fresh quality ingredients. The spicy beef was well marinated; the lamb in the soup was soft and not too gamey (wish there were more). Service is quick and efficient.

Solid contender for go-to places for comfort food on a cold and drizzly day in SF! We tried: - shaanxi burgers with cumin lamb and pork - stuffed to the brim with filling and very satisfying to hold and dig into - hot and spicy sliced beef noodle soup - heavy on the spices but not actually too spicy, so flavorful and warming - three-in-one biang biang noodles - the three toppings actually worked so well together - the tomato egg brought some brightness/acidity to balance out the savoriness/thickness of the pork and sizzling oil After eating here you feel prepared to brave the elements!

Best cumin lamb biang biang noodles I've had in terms of flavor! The lamb was tender and portions are large too. We also tried the pita lamb soup which was new to us and a pleasant surprise! The pita bread did not get soggy and stayed chewy till the end. I'd definitely come back for just these two dishes if I'm craving something comforting and warm.

My friend and I arrived on a Wednesday evening with no reservation. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The biang biang noodles here are their signature dishes, and we got two different kinds to share. The tomato egg biang biang noodles definitely hit the spot and was a childhood fave from the traditional tomato egg dish. However, I much preferred the biang biang noodles with pork as the wok hei of that dish really stood out to me. The cucumber salad was nice and a refreshing complement to our dishes. The place is super cute and cozy! Really enjoyed the bench seating and the hot tea provided for these cold winter evenings in SF. I always make an effort to come back here everytime I visit home.

Ordered to go during rush hour dinner time. Biang biang noodle with lamb and cumin and 3 in 1 biang biang noodle. Service was super fast. Lamb and cumin biang biang noodle was delicious. I would order this again. Can definitely taste the cumin flavor and went well with the noodles. I'm pretty sure they mixed up my 3 in 1 biang biang noodle, however it was still tasty. Very similar and comparable to a tomato beef noodle dish at a Chinese restaurant. However it was with lap cherng and a bit tangier. Hopefully next time I'm able to try the real 3 in 1 biang biang noodle.

Great food and fast service! Got the tofu spicy sauce, burger stuffed mixed veggie, vegetable biang biang noodles sizzling oil, and shaanxi cold noodle. Really appreciated that there were plenty of vegetarian options! The burger stuffed mixed veggie was a great mix of a little bit of everything: shredded potatoes, bean sprouts, cucumber, and wheat gluten. The shaanxi cold noodle was also delicious but similar toppings to the burger. Also maybe a tad bit more sour than I'm used to. The veggie noodles with sizzling oil was the best!! Love those super wide, long noodles! The sauce on the tofu was really good but the tofu itself was lackluster, maybe a softer tofu would have been better? Would probably skip that dish next time.

I've never tried Biang Biang noodles before. I believe it's from the Szechuan region of China. We had the ff: Spicy Sliced Beef - Thinly sliced, I found a bit chewy. Black Fungus Cucumber - Delicious woodear mushrooms and cucumbers. Great combo, crunchy and tasty. Spinach Salad - Sautéed tender spinach with garlic and oil. Yum. Three in one Biang noodles - Noodles were wider, thicker, about a foot long from the average noodle. Very tender, tasted home made and super delish. This was everyone's fave. Biang Biang Noodles with Cumin Lamb - Spicy noodles with a unique flavor of lamb with cumin. Yes! Chili Oil Wonton - tender wontons also looked and tasted home made. But it sticks to each other causing the wonton to break apart. The bill came out to only $69 for 3 people. What a deal! The place was packed and service, super quick. Another great find in the City. Definitely will return to try their other dishes.
